Great homes don't end at the back door.
DS 117 extends the experience of home into the landscape, creating a place where mornings begin with a workout, afternoons unfold beside the pool, and evenings gather beneath the pergola. Designed as a pool house, guest retreat, and everyday extension of the main residence, it brings together spaces for living, entertaining, working, and unwinding in one thoughtfully composed structure.
Two shingled volumes, rooted in the timeless, seaside character of the Hamptons, are connected by an open-air pavilion that serves as the heart of the design. Sheltering an outdoor kitchen, dining area, and lounge, the pergola dissolves the boundary between indoors and out, encouraging the home to flow naturally into the landscape. On either side, bright interiors finished with bleached woods, quiet neutral tones, and carefully considered details create spaces that feel warm, relaxed, and enduring.
DS 117 demonstrates that the most valuable square footage isn't always found in a larger home. Sometimes it's found in creating new ways to gather, host, recharge, and enjoy the place you're already fortunate enough to call home.
