BuildLabs is investing more than $12 million to construct a state-of-the-art structure totaling 80,000+ sq. ft. This will be more than just an office or factory. The new headquarters will serve as a job creator, with plans to hire approximately two dozen full-time employees in its first year. The tech campus will include a precision-engineering facility, a modern office complex, and an on-site café and coworking hub. Over time, BuildLabs anticipates expanding both capital investment and employment significantly, deepening its roots in the region.
The BuildLabs headquarters will serve multiple roles in the community, combining a construction-gigafactory with a vibrant, accessible community space. At its heart is the BuildLabs Café—a flexible, organic food & beverage venue. The architecturally-designed space will double as:
The vision doesn’t stop there. BuildLabs aims to become a true community anchor, offering something for everyone.
“Our new headquarters will deliver positive impact to the region,” says Anjali Gupta, Cofounder and Executive Director at BuildLabs. “It will be a local cultural institution, an architectural oasis, a botanical garden rich in biodiversity, a leader in sustainability and job creation. Most of all, it will be an exciting destination for people of all ages to enjoy—right in the heart of Nash County.”
“We chose Nash County for its growing economy, proximity to the Research Triangle’s academic pipeline, and the county’s commitment to economic development,” says BuildLabs
Cofounder and Operations Director, Punit Chugh. In August 2024, county commissioners and the Town of Nashville approved a 50% tax incentive over five years to support BuildLabs' investment.
“We thank the leaders from the Nash County, Town of Nashville and the Nash County Economic Development staff for supporting our vision to transform construction in America,” adds Chugh, “And we invite everyone to celebrate the launch of this strong public-private collaboration designed to revitalize the local economy.”
